Asalaamu 'Alaikum.

I'm not part of the medical staff/administration.

All I'll say is that only Allah knows which one of us is correct.
How can you say so?

He has shown us the right way and also warned us of the shaitan's way.

He has also given us a brain and a heart.

He has commanded us to seek Guidance with patience, perseverance and As-salaat.

If you are not part of the medical staff/administration, so “Why are you SURE?” Whom you are addressing, they will surely laugh at you.

QUOTE: - I don't wanna argue any more. I'm tired of this discussion.

So, “Why have you indulged yourself in the matter about which you know nothing” otherwise listen carefully those who have been living in the environment for many years?
You must really stop arguing further in this regard, if you have no knowledge.

I have stated FACTS and also asked you to clear a few doubts that arise out of your post.

These facts stated by me are supported by Qur'an and Sunnah.

These are not just my personal opinion

I was listening to Javaid Ghamidhi's cassette, he stated something relevant to this thread. He stated that currently,we are reluctant to allow male doctors to examine our female patients, at the same time we are also reluctant for females to become doctors, then what is the solution. Where and who should the female patients go.

Assalamu Alaikum.

Brother Waseem,

Permit me to modify your last sentence to read thus:

Where and who should the female patients go to
unless some of our females who are blessed with the facilities to learn, complete their course in medicine & surgery for their own livelihood as well as for serving humanity.

There are other systems of medicine apart from Allopathy (English system)such as Homoeopathy (German system), Ayurveda (Indian system) and Unani (I suppose it is from the Middle east but not sure)systems of medicine which have their own unique methods for diagnosis and treatment of certain ailments. I feel we should pay some attention to these systems of medicine also.

I think this is not the true picture, out of 100 only 10 girls manage to get admission in the medical college. The rest have to find some other discipline to carry on their studuies.

brother Usmani.my recollection is that admission to medical colleges is on open merit in institutions like King Edward medical college.Lahore. In Lahore there is Fatima Jinnah medical college for girls exclusively. However the problem is that what is the percentage of women, who become doctor and then get married have children and continue to work as a doctor. That is the problem.

Brother Aboosait! World wide, the recognition and dominance of conventional medicine is clear. It is based on research, investigations and controlled trials.

If I have a serious problem , I would like to see a specialist who will examine me properly, arrange blood tests and invetsigations like scan or x-ray and then diagnose what is wrong and treat me. I would not like to sit in front of person and give my symptoms and then told to have Khameera gouzabaan. Conventional medicine has a recognised medical course over 5 years and you have to pass exams. You may disagree and prefer alternative form of medicine, but I am afraid on this one I do not have a choice, I am sold on it.

Though frankly I do not know what you mean by Conventional medicine I would like to clarify that here in this part of India all the systems I mentioned in my previous post (I quote the relevant portion below) are of minimum 5 years duration, and are all recognized by the Government.

This is also not a serious issue as the majority of women use to work as doctor after they married and even after having chlidren atlest in Karachi.I am not very much sure about other cities but I can say that problem is not that bad that the women in Pakistan are sitting in their houses and not going to see doctors becaue of shortage of female doctors. For a specific illness if the lady doctor is not available,so here we can see in lots female pataints of every class use to see male doctor. If I am not wrong religion also allows it.

Whats is issue then?

Salam brother ABoosait

Khameera Gauzobaan is a popular health tonic prescribed by Hakeems. I quoted it as figure of speech.

Brother! what about the Western world. Spending on health services is second only to defense budgets and that pertains to hospitals and gp surgeries and their expenses. I am afraid alternative medicine is limted only to certain parts of the world. Even in those counteries their role is limited. If you have a road traffic accident , where would one go? you need an x-ray or operation to fix a broken hip? also what will you do if you have something like appendicitis?

One would normally try to go home but most likely will have to be carried by the people around to.....well that will depend?

Unless there is an 'Ayurvedic bone setter' within your reach.

Try Homeopathy.

Brother! what about the Western world.
"Doctors Are The Third Leading Cause of Death in the US, Causing 225,000 Deaths Every Year"

This information is a followup of the Institute of Medicine report which hit the papers in December of last year, but the data was hard to reference as it was not in peer-reviewed journal. Now it is published in JAMA which is the most widely circulated medical periodical in the world.

The author is Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and she desribes how the US health care system may contribute to poor health.

ALL THESE ARE DEATHS PER YEAR:

12,000 -- unnecessary surgery
7,000 -- medication errors in hospitals
20,000 -- other errors in hospitals
80,000 -- infections in hospitals
106,000 -- non-error, negative effects of drugs

These total to 225,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic causes!!

What does the word iatrogenic mean? This term is defined as induced in a patient by a physician's activity, manner, or therapy. Used especially of a complication of treatment.

Quote: - Unless there is an 'Ayurvedic bone setter' within your reach.

Before fixing the bone in a unit there are a lot of measures to do first, which is NOT the domain of homeopathy, Unani or something like that. And in a road traffic accident, remember, there is not necessarily the bone fracture; the individual may have the other associated injuries also anywhere on the body from head to toes.

Quote: - Try Homeopathy. “IN RESPONSE TO” also what will you do if you have something like appendicitis?

But what does the homeopathy do with the sequels of appendicitis like gangrene or the perforation causing generalized peritonitis due to which the patient is succumbed quickly if immediate intervention is not done?
