Regarding Anal Sex in Islam

Question:
Is there any scientific reason for anal sex prohibition in Islam? If a couple have anal sex by mutual understanding then what are the implications in Islam?
Answer:
The prohibition of a certain undertaking in Islam is generally based on moral grounds. Prohibitions on account of medical and health reasons are left to our own discretion and experience.

Islam as a religion is based on the norms of human nature and anal sex is something which human nature has generally regarded to be unnatural and repulsive. While referring to the natural course in this regard, the Qur'an asks the believers to go near their wives in the manner ordained by God in their nature. This of course refers to vaginal intercourse:

Go you to them the way that has been ordained by God. (2:220)
