Wedding Dress
Question asked by Saima Arooj.

Question:
Is a Muslim woman allowed to wear a black coloured dress on her wedding or "nikah" ceremony? I know wearing white or green is preferrable on such special days according to the Sunnah but still can she wear black color on such a special day?
Answer:
The Islamic Sharia'h has not obliged women to wear any particular coloured of dress on their wedding. They can choose any colour they want to. Wearning white or green is not even a preferrable Sunnah.
Therefore, a woman is free to wear any dress colour she likes.
