Assalamoeleikumwarahmatullahe wabarakatuhu.
Are they doing the same work as your Research Centre? There seems to be a lot of attendance in their talks and events in India. They are showing every talk and gatherings on their Research Centre Special TV channel. What is the matter with you all? You need to bring your work to public more and more. Very few Islamic Organizations are doing this hard and academic work of Research. They must not just sit on the Books they have written in so many years. There is no time to breed these books like eggs :P In our part of the world people have hardly any access to the right type of Literature. Most are practicing mythical Islam.I think it must be the same where you live.

I think you are doing your best. The IRF work is more general. That is why you see so much crowd in their talks. The more detailed academic and research work done in your institution is perhaps not all suitable to be shown to the general public always. The idea of a private TV channel is good though. Think about it.

wa alaikum us salaam warahmatullahe wabarakatuhu

Dear mbellos: Thanks a lot for your saying. IRF ppl r working for Islamic cause so that's a common thing between us BUT the level & target of our work is quite diff. from them. There huge attendances are (a) Bcoz of their target & (b) Bcoz of the high population in India.
We are doing what we can do according to our resources. Plzpray forus sothat we can do more. Amin

Dear Hands: Thanks a lot for your analysis. Yes you are right. Well, the idea of a private TV channel is a big target. We've it in our minds. In fact somewhere some work is also going on upon it BUT u know here comes again the problem of resources. I'm sure that w the prayers of U ppl v soon this dream of yours & ours willbecome true in sha Allah. Amin

Asalam Aalaikum,

Yes it is true that both Organizations
are working for Islam and there aim is to promote the teachings of Islam at massive level but Al-Mawrid Institute
doesnot belong to any perticular school of thought. Dr.Zakir who basically runs Islamic Research Foundation also focuses on the teachings of the main 4 schools of thought(Imam Shahfee,Imam Malik,Imam Abu Hanifa,Imam Hanbal).

The members of Islamic Research Foundation hold the views that majority of the Sunni Scholars have.

It would be great if all these organizations show respect to each others efforts and praise them which will definitely bring unity among them.

there is a difference,If you invite people for tazkiyah and intellectual development ,very few will come around you.

On the other hand,if you give people a sense of pride and victory that their religion is better than the rest through defeating peoples of other faith in debates. You will find many in your fold.

Assalamoeleikumwarahmatullahe wabarakatuhu.
Jazakumullah. Your reasons look genuine Brothers & Siters.
However where everything else is being proclaimed and publicized to such an extent, what is the need of the time must take precedence on all. There is no time to REElax and give names to other people's efforts like "Superhectic Style". It's the matter of "WALASR".
When the "Superhectic" will come on our heads, all the "CALMness" and "COOLness" will go down the drains & will turn into Super Boiler Heat!

the arguements from both the sides look cool to me. the work we are trying to promote thru these websites is for the tazkyah at intellectual, more than being at an emotional level and truly our school of thought does not represent any particular sector-as raushan 'n student 1 mentioned; but mbellos is also reflecting a 'lovingly emotional' expression of our sisters - however, like always, i feel there must be a balanced way as well in between both the approaches;
coz none of the ventures of men anywhere can ever be completed without the gentle and loving support from their delicate co-gender; as Adam is bound to be a part of mAdam

Your school of thought?

Kindly eleborate.

Or should we assume that you mean Al-Gamidi School?

Commenting on IRF channel I would like to point out that it is not a one man show.

It is not confined to the lectures (or writings)of its founder Zakir Nayak, but renowned Islamic scholars are called upon to speak on their individual fields of researh. They also reply to questions from the public.

i wish hard working research scholars like javed ghamidi sahib and his team were given due appreciation by our traditional scholars and they would have accepted them in masjids and islamic sentres; but like always, and even as it happened with the prophets of their times, people reject first, cause hirdles in ways, push them away- ofcourse they then need to build an institute or organization of their own from where they can proclaim their message which they feel is right and they have found it with tremendous hard work-also that it should reach the public. it does not at all mean that they are trying to put up a 'one man show'

But prophets did not ask for appreciation from men?

Zakir Naik's team is not trying to proclaim his message but it is promoting the the Message of the Qur'aan as was understood by the Sahaaba.
