1. Lisan-ul-Arab by Ibn-e-Manzoor (Arabic to Arabic) {the dictionary is about classical and Quranic Arabic. It is the most comprehensive dictionary of Arabic Language. It comprises 18 volumes.}

2. Al-Mufradat Fi Gharib-il-Quran by Al-Raghib (Arabic to Arabic){the dictionary is about the Quranic Arabic. One of the most authoritative. 579 pages}

3. Al-Qamoos-ul-Muheet by Muhammad bin Yaqoob Al-Feroz Abadi (Arabic to Arabic). The dictionary is about classical and Quranic Arabic. 1244 pages}

4. Arabic-English Lexicon by E. W. Lane (Arabic to English){the dictionary is about classical and Quranic Arabic. Monumental work from the 19th century, a product of over thirty years of unrelenting labour, is to this day the supreme authority as the most scholarly dictionary available from Arabic to English. It comprises 8 volumes with a total number of 3064 pages. The dictionary is also now available in CD-ROM format.}

5. Arabic-English Dictionary by Hans Wehr (Arabic to English) {the dictionary is about the modern Arabic. 1301 pages}

6. Lughat-ul-Quran by G. A. Parvez (Arabic to Urdu){the dictionary is about the Quranic Arabic. It is the most comprehensive and authentic dictionary from Arabic to Urdu, based upon the most authoritative sources. it comprises 4 volumes (about 1800 pages). The dictionary is also available in CD-ROM}

7. The Dictionary of the Holy Quran by Abdul Mannan Omar (Arabic to English) {the dictionary is about the Quranic Arabic. A concise but good dictionary of the Quran, based upon the authentic sources. 689 pages}

8. A Dictionary and Glossary of the Quran by John Penrice (Arabic to English) {the dictionary is about the Quranic Arabic. The dictionary is very basic and of elementary leve. 166 pages}
