Job Title: Project Director
Previous experience: Minimum 3 years
Salary: £30k - £35k pa, depending on experience.
Closing Date: 10th June 2006
The job: A leading publisher in the Islamic academic, general and children’s
books market is in an exciting phase of change into a limited company.
Reporting to the Executive board, the successful candidate will be
responsible for managing the transition of the company and then go on to
lead the business. Key responsibilities will include devising the marketing
strategy, managing the production process and business development.
The Person: This is an extremely challenging and rewarding opportunity.
Applicants should have at least three years management experience in the
publishing industry with hands on experience of managing people and
overseeing publishing production processes. Resourceful, proactive,
enthusiastic and structured approach to planning and management, strong
communication and negotiating skills are essential for this position. The
candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to work effectively
with different people at all levels of management. Previous experience of
international marketing and a sound understanding of the Muslim book sector
would be advantageous.
