I understand that you mean to say that there are issues which have been left open by the Qur'an; we however find some principles in the Book with the help of which we can resolve these issues.

I maintained more or less the same view with the difference that I believe that Qur'an and Sunnah are both references for me though principle statement may only be found in the former.

You may differ with me regarding the example I presented. My purpose was only to give you an example of the novel issues of the present age.

Human race would be an extremely dull one if we agreed on every thing. There are many different paths to God, just my own personal view and I do not wish to start a deate on it, hence different views amongst the believers.

What do you mean by different paths to God? Do you mean to endore the sanctity and validity of these paths of God?

There may be different paths, but the Qur'an says that the true religion in the sight of Allah is only Islam.

The religion revealed by God to all his Prophets. They, in their respective times, preached the same religion to their people. However, these people corrupted and tampered with it. Finally, the Almighty raised the Holy Prophet, Muhammad, who delivered to the world Islam in its pristine form. Now, this religion is what Allah will accept from the people as He has told us in his Book, the Qur'an.

Was Islam only corrupted before the Holy Prophet. Has there been no corruption since?

Of course not. The Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, pbuh, stand out distinctly and clearly.

Some people just don't get it. What is so hard about acceptance?

My conception of rules on dying hair would be that Allah created everyone to be beautiful, why should we want to change the way he made us?

Hair dye is ok to use except the color black. The Prophet emphasized that using that color is haram. Some people say it's ok to use the color black if your young without white hair. But it'd be haram if your old and wanted to cover your white hair. Otherwise all I know is that hair dye is totally ok except for black.
