 | Any one can pray to Allah for guidance, for comfort, for forgiveness etc. Allah's bounties are for all mankind. |

 | may be I am wrong , but what I understood in your question;you meant "Allah" specifically to "God of muslims" only, ??
If so, let me say that Allah is not specific God to Muslims or related to ISLAM.....it is just a name of our one and only one creator of all mankind in the language of prophet 's Muhammed (Pbuh) time.

Allah, God , Bhagwaan (hindu), Khuda (Zoros.) or many other names of GOD in different culture or civilization have same meaning which is : the one and only one Supreme who created all of us ......
so you can pray to that GREAT ALMIGHTY with any of His name .

 God Knows better.
