For the above mentioned verse, which translation would you prefer, and why?
O ye who believe! It is not lawful for you forcibly to inherit the women (of your deceased kinsmen). (As is also understood by Maulana
Islahi in Tadabbur)
OR
O YOU who have attained to faith! It is not lawful for you to [try to] become heirs to your wives [by holding onto them] against their will.
