[quote]safimera, 3 very interesting scenarios I can tell you which options I would not take i.e. 4) , 3) and 1). I would take a modified version of option 2) for situation 1) I would talk about the milad and discuss the parts which are bidat. If he accepts the point of view well and good other wise wait to put your point of view at another time. 2) You believe in a hadis but your friend doesn't .... you can give all your arguments to prove your Hadees is authentic, but what if your friend can prove your Hadees is weak then what, are you open enough to accept his arguments? 3) he is a strict Hanifi but you are not Taqlidi ........ as long as you don't have to compromise on your principles then it makes no difference. Where there is a need you explain your point of view as to why you must not do a certain thing or must do. None of these situations require you to break your friendship.
