Salaam Hijab, or face covering is not a problem if an individual feels that is how they are comfortable as Muslims. However I do have problem when these individuals start defining this as an absolute rule for all Muslim women. There is no such compulsion in Quran. Intersting how the directive of not covering the face during Haj has been intereperted here. Surely the most obvious conclusion would be that if covering of face was not allowed during the Haj then it is not such an important issue. The attraction point, as indicated by J Hanif, is also a slightly dubious arguement. As what attracts individuals to each other can vary. Writing, voice, views etc can all be source of an attraction without ever seeing an individual. There is no hardship in following Islam according to the Quran. If God had wanted all Muslim to women to wear Hijab or cover their faces then it would have just required one sentence in the Quran.
