The basic need for this article arose when I had
the opportunity to go through various videos on Youtube.com and I got to see the
arguments in the comments section. What I saw disturbed me greatly.
Whether the video was religious or maybe perhaps a
song or some lecture, there was some fight about the person
singing/lecturing/reciting based on his beliefs and how they were right and
wrong. In my view it is quite shameful a thing to see. Maybe its just the
rebirth of ignorance in the age of light.
I am from Pakistan and it just feels absolutely
ridiculous to see my fellow countrymen quarrel over some personality being Shia/Sunni/Berelvi
etc. It should be made crystal clear that we are all humans. We are no one to
judge a person's fate.
The religion is quite simple as it is and one of
the basic teachings offcourse is brotherhood. We need to learn or re-learn to be
united. Looking for reasons to fight is not going to help anyone, including you.
If you believe the way you're following the religion is indeed correct, good for
you! I also condemn offcourse the formation of various sects because I hardly
see the logic of it when the religion is based on One Book and everything that
you need to know is in there. Why should there be a dispute? I actually know the
answer to that but I will discuss that in a different article perhaps.
My point is that regardless of the minor
differences in our beliefs, we need to leave them behind and love each other.
Care for each other and help each other. We are very large in number but our
power is so less because we are not united. We have become our own enemies. It
is very sad and at the same time, very dangerous.
I hope I have made myself clear and I certainly
hope whoever reads it spreads the word too. Before being a shia or Sunni, we are
Muslims and Muslims don't hurt others by their tongue or hands and feet.
