What I'm about to mention here
is not only a scientific acceptance of a fact taught in Abrahimic traditions,
but also a strong source for the uplift of our faith, so spend a few mins to
read when you can. Some of you may have found it on net already as it's not too
recent.
I am pleased to be finally able
to get an opportunity to persue further my special interest in Gynae
sub-specialty i.e. sexual health-and the effects which its abuse could cause to
general health, mental health, family unit 'n a society as a whole-which is the
topic of my present ongoing research project' the silver ring' as well (you may
be interested to know that the idea of the title comes from president George
Bush-who is an evengelist and has funded a similar project in U.S. with
$1,000,000-it wud be another discussion what else is he doing..) Recently my
project has received a lot of applause and encouragement from my senior
professors for which I am thankful to them; as indeed such support matters.
As I browsed through some
recent work on 'prevention of HIV/AIDs and other sexually transmitted infections
(STIs) I noticed that the prevention tips have been classified alphabetically,
(using A for Avoidance, B for Being Faithful 'n so on) C has been used for two
preventive tips. One is Condomn and guess what the other for....yes
Circumcision. Although it has
been mentioned in certain theories about female genital tract cancers'
prevention, but was not mentioned as an accepted preventive tip for STI
(sexually transmitted infections) in the past until a reasonable amount of study
has been done-the trial was abondened as the success rate of circumcision in the
prevention immediately rose to 63% and it was stopped with the fear that the
positive effects of circumcision in the prevention might be misused and relied
on too much, preventing the use of other preventive measures. (Auvert.B, Puren

transmission of HIV)
I believe that it is not only a
scientific acceptance of a fact taught in Abrahimic traditions, but also a
strong source for the uplift of our faith.
